to be expected (cf. Deut. 28:1–14). And in the New Testament also we are told that every good and perfect gift comes from God (cf. James 1:17). We are not to be moaning Christians! In criticism of those who peddle the ‘prosperity gospel’ we must not sin by denying that God has given us much more then we ever deserve. God does give us good days: good health, a good marriage partner, the blessing of children, days of leisure and fun. We do God a grave injustice when we do not acknowledge the good things
